Many people face financial struggles at some point. Often life events - divorce, death of an income earner, disability, job insecurity, lay-offs, etc. - are outside of your control and lead to significant financial distress.
Let the experts work on your behalf to craft debt settlements that are suited to your unique situation. Attorney McCarthy has worked with the most frequently used plaintiff representation firms and is familiar with the parameters each uses for determining the acceptability of a settlement offer. This means that your case can be resolved more quickly and without wasting time presenting offers that are not within the acceptable guidelines set by Plaintiff representation firms.

Time is money - be sure yours is not wasted
Our firm is not a debt collector, nor do we represent collection agencies or creditors. Our focus is on the debtor- the person whose life is being negatively affected in ways that can have far-reaching and lasting consequences.
Our firm is not a debt consolidation agency. We do not create repayment plans across multiple debts, with payments made to us, then distributed to creditors or Plaintiffs' firms. This mean we do not take payments for the settling of debts from clients, deduct administrative costs, and send payments to clients' creditors. Rather, our firm collects an up front flat fee, based on the number of debts to be negotiated, and provide negotiation and settlement services that allow the client to pay the creditor directly, utilizing 100% of the funds a client has for the client's benefit.
What We Do
Step One: Client intake - clients who contact our firm should first disclose all debts they have that may be in collections or are currently litigated. Clients can then determine which accounts the firm will work on to negotiate a settlement. Clients can choose to retain for a single debt case, or for all debts that are in collections or litigation or will soon be in collections or litigation.
Step Two: Upon completing a retainer agreement and remitting payment for the flat fee charged by our firm, clients will consult with Attorney McCarthy to determine the client's ability to repay - whether that is through a reduced balance lump sum settlement, or a settlement negotiated to have affordable monthly payments.
Step Three: Attorney McCarthy will begin work on your case. If the debt is currently in litigation, she will file a notice of representation, and if necessary an Answer or Response, and begin contacting the client's creditor(s). If the debt is in collections, but no case has been filed with a court, Ms. McCarthy will endeavor to work with client's creditors to prevent litigation where possible, saving the client time and court costs and fees.
Step Four: Upon contacting your creditors, our firm will negotiate a settlement that is affordable for the client. This may or may not include a balance reduction. No offers will be accepted without express client approval. Once a settlement is reached, Attorney McCarthy will execute the required paperwork and ensure proper filing with the court. Once an order is entered, we will send you the final agreement and court order for your records.
