  • Under- & Post-Grad Education
Ms. Ashley Lynn "Ashlynn" McCarthy is originally from rural Mississippi. She attended high school and college there, earning her Honor's Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the historic Mississippi University for Women (affectionately known by both male and female graduates as The W).

After completing her undergraduate studies, Ashlynn moved to Sacramento, California to attend the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. During law school, Ashlynn was a member of the distinguished Inn of Court - Anthony M. Kennedy Chapter, an organization designed to promote ethics and civility in the practice of law and among members of the bar, as well as the honors legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. After completing her Juris Doctor, Ms. McCarthy and her husband moved back to Mississippi to assist her family through the loss of her father and younger brother.
  •  Post-Education Endeavors
During her time back in Mississippi, Ashlynn and her family founded a scholarship in honor of her brother. This scholarship provided educational expense assistance to local students. She also taught as an adjunct professor at Mississippi State University, teaching legal writing and reasoning to both undergraduate and graduate level students.

After a year, Ashlynn moved to Colorado. There, she served as the Head of School for a private international school specializing in the International Baccalaureate Program. She taught ESL to international middle school students, assisted them in integrating into their host families and communities, and oversaw the school wide commitment to the IBO program and curriculum. Ms. McCarthy then went on to open an immigration law firm. After a time there, she went on to open her own solo practice (self named) which eventually transitioned to become Riveter Law, LLC.

  • Experience & Commitment to Accessible Legal Services
The poverty that many rural areas endure also means that the residents do not have access to effective legal aid - often earning 'too much' for free legal services and simply not enough to afford a retainer of many thousands of dollars. Coming from such a background, Ms. McCarthy endeavors to provide quality legal services to clients who require more flexible options for making their budget accommodate necessary legal expenses.

Ms. McCarthy's legal experience includes immigration law, domestic relations cases, criminal defense, but she currently focuses on debt settlement and litigation defense. She prioritizes amicable resolution where possible to settle debts and avoid negative consequences such as bank levies, wage garnishments, property liens, or bankruptcy. Ms. McCarthy has worked with the most frequently used plaintiff  debt-litigation firms in Colorado and is familiar with the parameters each uses for determining the acceptability of a settlement offers. This means that your case can be resolved without wasting time presenting offers that are not within the acceptable guidelines set by Plaintiff representation firms.
