The Mediator
Ashlynn McCarthy is a certified mediator with the highest level of certification required in the United States. Ms. McCarthy believes that mediation and negotiation are more effective at resolving issues involved in separation, divorce, and child custody. Taking this approach ensures that the parties are in control of the final agreement and are invested in the success of the resolution. Mediation will give your family the best chance at remaining amicable and intact, creating a supportive and stable future for your children.
Goals of Mediation
The goal of mediation is to create solutions and resolutions that promote amicable relations post separation and divorce, as well as ensuring that the parties walk away with the biggest bottom line possible. Mediation allows the parties to control the final agreements on all aspects of separation and divorce. Families that choose to mediate rather than litigating report higher satisfaction with the terms of the final agreement and the results of their efforts to put family first.
How it Works
Mediation is 100% confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone not a party to the mediation. Mediation can be done with the parties working together in a single room, or with parties in a separate room to maintain the privacy of mediator-client discussions and offers. Mediators are prohibited from revealing any information disclosed by one party to the other party absent expressed consent. This promotes open and honest negotiations where suggestions can be discussed prior to presenting them as a proposed offer of resolution.
Mediation can be used to resolve your entire case, moving you through the separation and/or divorce process much more quickly than litigated cases. However, mediation can also be used to address particular issues and can result in a partial agreement. This allows the parties to craft a resolution that fits their needs and circumstances. Unresolved issues can be submitted to the Court for resolution.
No One Knows Your Family Like You Do

All parents want to provide a supportive environment for their children. Let us help you create a positive future for you, your children, and future generations. Maintain control and make the decisions about your family with a focus on the qualities and circumstances unique to your situation.
